GIFT OF SIGHT

Cataract is the leading cause of blindness amongst the elderly. There are so many elderly citizens who can't afford to pay because of the rising cost of the cataract surgery. Thus Apex club of Kuala Lumpur has embarked on this community service project to help raise awareness among the public that there are so many of them out there who are not able to lead a normal live because of financial difficulties.

We on our part are working with a leading private eye clinic in Seri Kembangan, Selangor who have agreed to perform full surgeries at cost. Apex KL an NGO registered with Registrar of Society under the ministry of Home Affairs(Kementerian Dalam Negeri) since 1957 is currently raising money for the Gift of Sight project.

The funding for our community service projects are fully funded by public donations. We have a proven track record of successful services. Since May 2023 we have helped 6 patients to regain their eye sight.
